The Alchemy of Psychology with James Hillman

I heard James Hillman give a talk on this subject back in the 90s and even though I took careful notes at the time, the amount of important and very interesting information he gave was such that I wanted very much to hear the talk again. Thanks to BetterListen! I will be able to listen to this many times. This subject or the Alchemy of Psychology is one that I have returned to many times as I have gotten older and each time I find more insights in the material. Being that I am an artist, I find James Hillman's approach of speaking to the images (he goes into vivid descriptions of the colors, forms, characters, tools etc. that you will meet in the process) a wonderful source of visual inspiration. It is also a very healing move that James Hillman makes to take Psychology beyond the medical language and bring it to the mythological creative imagination.

I had a difficult time listening to this series due to audio issues. I was not able to easily download, and when the download was successful, I was unable to listen to the entire episode (stopped halfway through). I ended up having to stream the episodes, which was not entirely without issue, but at least allowed me access to the lectures. Overall, I am disappointed, as streaming the lectures does not allow me the opportunity to listen to them again in the future.
