If you have to picture what Mindfulness was like, you would probably have images of a lake, flowers, heaven, or anything associated with tranquility. So to imagine that it could also have a role in health care would probably be impossible. The experiences that are involved in health care are far from peaceful. Most are associated with pain and anxiety.
Mindfulness can be a very healing factor and many health care professionals agree. Mindfulness can even find it’s way into the healthcare system for aid in prevention, diagnosis, and treatment for certain individuals and illnesses.
