While in a coma, Dr. Eben Alexander had an out of the body, near-death-experience, which he claims was “divine.” On Oprah’s Super Soul Sunday, Alexander described the omniscient experience as a genderless faceless brilliant orb of light that represented all of the energy throughout the universe. “This was not Eben alexander’s consciousness. This was all of the consciousness throughout all eternity,” Alexander tells Oprah. Afterward, Alexander spent years trying to interpret and understand his experience. He authored the best-selling books Proof of Heaven in 2012, and Map of Heaven in 2014.
