Program or Be Programmed Audiobook by Doug Rushkoff - Unabridged
Really enjoyed this book. Douglas Rushkoff does a fantastic job of analysing the changes in the digital landscape and how these changes affect us Humans now and in the future.
Firstly, the quality of the recording is very good. Rushkoff's narration is engaging and conversational. Each chapter runs about 20 minutes, which is great if, like me, you're listening during your commute.
Regarding content, Rushkoff makes a compelling argument for approaching the digital world deliberately and humanely, and highlights the pitfalls of failing to do so. The book is more about human connection than it is about computer programming, so it really accessible to anyone.
I would recommend it for anyone interested in how digital technology is shaping how we live, think, and connect with one another.
