Mark Jung-Beeman is a cognitive neuroscientist at Northwestern University in Illinois. His original research was on the neural basis of hemispheric differences in language processing. Since 1995 he has been studying the neural basis of insight, and has published 10 papers on this topic. He has done important research on the brain states involved before and
during the insight experience.  His recent work involves individual differences in flexible thinking and the neural basis of how to improve creativity and innovation.
