Every Womans Story: Cinderella and Her Sisters - The Shadow Side of Envy

This is an audio program you cannot miss!

First told at a Marion Woodman Foundation Retreat this audio program is warmly interactive with the audience as Paula takes us into the depths of the seldom explored topic of envy and jealousy.

Cinderella’s plight awakens the hidden memories of forbidden yearnings, self recriminations and fears of not being good enough to be chosen. Paula leads us into the recognition that the consciously embodied feminine is both fiercely requiring and tenderly protective. In the end we learn that the soul is always inviting us into the dance. This story speaks to men as well as women.

Every Woman's Story: Cinderella and Her Sisters - The Shadow Side of Envy

I really expected to hear a Christian version of a fairy tale, but was wonderfully surprised to learn that it has Muslim origins as its first iteration was in Ancient Egypt, about a slave girl who marries a king. I enjoyed the reading of it very much, especially hearing it read by Paula Reeves, Phd with her absolutely wonderful Southern drawl. I haves a fascination with myths and how they are so closely tied in with religions. My family lived in Georgia for ten years, and I've always missed it. So I really look forward to hearing more readings in Paula's sweet Georgian voice!
