Simcha Raphael, Ph.D., is a transpersonal psychotherapist, spiritual director, and adjunct professor in the Religion Department of Temple University. He has worked as a resident psychologist in a funeral home, a bereavement counselor and a hospice chaplain. A rabbinic pastor, he is director of the Da’At Institute for Death Awareness, Advocacy and Training and author of Jewish Views of the Afterlife.
