Andrew Harvey discusses Sacred Activism, which is the fusion of the deepest mystical knowledge and passion with wise focused radical action in the world. Special attention will be paid to the great evolutionary mystics Sri Aurobindo and Father Bede Griffiths, both of whom not only achieved enlightenment but grounded that enlightenment in increasingly divinized bodies.
Andrew Harvey was born in India and schooled in England, the youngest Fellow ever at Oxford University. His book, A Journey in Ladakh, sold 60,000 copies and won the Christmas Humphreys Prize. Harvey is coauthor of Perfume of the Desert (with Eyrk Hanut) and is a celebrated translator of Rumi. He lives in Las Vegas, Nevada.
