In today’s technological age, parents and educators face a daunting task of raising their children free of constant negative influence. Access to undesirable people and information is prevalent and extremely difficult to monitor. This is exacerbated by the fact that most kids are more proficient and comfortable with technology than their parents.

Consequently, parents need to educate themselves on the danger today’s children face from this constantly connected online world.

In an effort to educate and empower parents to keep a better watch over their children, High Impact Youth Training Solutions and WisdomFeed present:

As you know social media sites can be used for positive activities, like connecting kids with friends and family, helping students with school, and for entertainment. However, these tools can also be used to hurt other people.

Whether done in person or through technology, the effects of bullying are similar. Spend the time in reviewing and learning from this course and leave with enhanced skills to combat and address this life alerting issues.

"In my years consulting with schools and investigating social media, cybercrime and cyberbullying issues, I’ve become all too familiar with the endless number of virtual landmines that our kids encounter every day on their cell phones and computers.

Thankfully, the challenge can be managed. But it requires a healthy dose of attention and accountability by the adult role models in our kids’ lives, both in the classroom and at home.

The online risks our kids face today begin in the earliest school years and evolve with each passing grade"

What Others Say...

Melissa Straub visited our Milwaukee schools in early November to deliver an important message to our middle school students about cyber safety.   Her presentation was engaging, focused, and extremely relevant to students. My only regret is not getting her in front of more parents while she was here, as the impact of her message would be valuable for parents of students at this vulnerable age.

Melissa Benson.   Manager, Seton Catholic Schools

Melissa Straub is a very engaging speaker with years of knowledge and worked with our staff, parents and students on this important information of cyber safety.

This was a very informative training! I got a lot of positive feedback from our members after this training. This information is invaluable. Most of our students use social media every day but they don't always understand the safety issues and vulnerability that comes with it. Please spread the word about this great training opportunity.

—Sue Heguy, LCSW  CPNJ Trainer & Bergen County TLC Coordinator

Melissa left the students, faculty and parents wanting to talk more about this important topic. Participants were shocked and concerned, but empowered to have more conversations with their kids about cyber-safety and netiquette.
Melissa heightened our awareness to the notion of the lack of intuition one has when on the Internet. Kids may believe that they are communicating with one person, when in reality, he/she has a very different profile.
