James Hillman was the father of Archetypal Psychology. This field uses metaphors derived from ancient alchemy to elucidate deep structures in the creative imagination.

The psyche moves; but does psychology? James discusses a shift in psychotherapy which could help us connect feeling with our political or worldly dilemma's. The world is entering a new moment of consciousness: by drawing attention to itself by means of its symptoms, it is becoming aware of itself as a psychic reality.

In this scholarly, entertaining and highly informative program,  James dives deep into the psychology and politics of feeling.

Politics of Feeling - James Hillman

Hillman is always stimulating and I am grateful for the possibility to listen to him directly. However, quite a bit of time is devoted to questions from the public and since volume is not well equalized, the questions themselves are very difficult to hear.

A very interesting discussion and

A very interesting discussion and very glad you have made it available. Listening to James Hillman is a treat especially as I do find some of his writing rather dense and this discussion is extremely valuable. Thank you Better Listen for the series
