Frequently
Asked Questions
All Better Listen! MP3 downloads have
been individually re-mastered for the highest quality sound reproduction.
Better Listen! uses the standard MP3
format, so our digital files will play on virtually any computer or portable
audio player, including iPods.
How are your downloadable products delivered?
After you pay for your purchase, the download will be delivered to you
immediately. Because of the large size of most of our files, we recommend only
users with access to a broadband Internet connection purchase MP3 downloads.
After purchase completion, you will be
redirected to a download page. If you accidentally close your browser or wish
to download at a later time, you will also receive an email to the address used
at checkout which will include the download links. Please remember the download
links will expire after 3 download or 3 days (72 hours) or which ever comes first. In some cases titles
or special offers will be comprised of multiple files. Your download page will
include links to each individual file that makes up the entire program or
package offer.
Before you download, be sure you are
familiar with your own computer set up and requirements, as each computer
setting is different and has different download procedures. Once you download,
it’s a final transaction! MP3 downloads are not refundable. Please choose
wisely.
How can I pay?
You can pay with any major credit card in our state of the art secure shopping
cart.
Can I burn a Better Listen! file
to a CD?
Yes. If you want to burn the file to a CD you will need CD burning software in
your computer. (Most computers already have CD burning software
installed.) The downloaded file is
an MP3 format – which means that you will have to have a CD player that can
play MP3 files. If you have a CD player than can play MP3 files, you simply
burn the file to a CD. If you have an older CD player that cannot
play MP3 files, you will need to select - Create Audio CD - from within
your burning software on your computer which will then convert it to a standard
music format (.cda) file. You will
then be able to play the CD on your CD player.
Can I copy a Better Listen!
file to another device?
Better Listen! files are Copyrighted material. Upon purchase you can load the
file to any device you own as well as burn it to a CD for play. However, the
files may not be distributed to other people or entities. Please refer to the
Copyright Notice and Click-thru Agreement that you accepted upon purchase of a
Better Listen! title.
My download isn’t working. What should I do?
A few of our customers have
experienced difficulties with accessing downloads because of Internet Explorer
settings on some PCs. Users with this issue have able to successfully
download the product by using Mozilla Firefox as their browser. Simply cut
and paste the download link into Firefox and that should work. If you
don’t already have Firefox, it can be downloaded for free at www.firefox.com.
I’ve tried downloading, but it says it’s expired
even though the expiration date hasn’t yet passed. What should I do?
Downloads expire by the expiration date or after three attempts, whichever
comes first. If you’ve been having
problems with the download and it hasn’t worked within three attempts, email linda@betterlisten.com, explain what’s
happened, and we will resend the download to you along with further
instructions if necessary.
I’ve ordered a two-part download, but only the
first part came through. How can I
get Part Two?
All multi-part downloads come through at the same time. The second part is somewhere on your
computer, just not obvious. We
suggest that you do a search on your computer using either the title of the
download or .mp3 and the full download should come up.
I’m not able to open the download with Real
Player. What should I do?
You hould download the
link and choose to save rather than play it. Then open it with Windows
Media Player, iTunes, or any other mp3 player.
I’d like to save the download on my computer so I
can listen to it another time or more than once. How do I do this?
When you access the download, choose “Save As” rather then “Download.” This will save the download onto your
computer and you will be able to listen to it whenever you choose.
What is the best MP3 player to use
with audiobooks?
There are a number of MP3 players that
will work with audiobooks. The most important thing to check is capacity, as
audiobooks are usually rather large in MP3 format. Here is a recent review that may help you in your decision.
